Nature Trail

Alton Water has a well-deserved reputation for creating, and subsequently managing a wide variety of habitats that attract an expanding variety of British Wildlife.
By following the wooden way-making posts, visitors can walk the two kilometre nature trail that starts at the wildflower meadow at the far end of the picnic site.
Ospreys, Nightgales, grass snakes and harvest mice have all been seen in recent months.
Two public hides can also be found along the trail to observe the local wildfowl and breeding tern rafts.
